Biography:

Yang’enwas born in Anhui, China. He received his bachelor degree inChemistry from Soochow University in 2012. Then, after a short timework at Chiral Quest Pharmacy Company in Suzhou, he began his Ph.D.study at ICCAS and obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2018 under thesupervision of Prof. Dr. Sanzhong Luo. During his Ph.D. study, hestudied chiral primary amine catalyzed asymmetric functionalizationof β-ketocarbonyl compounds, achieved the asymmetric fluorination ofbranched ketones catalyzed by chiral amine and the Mannich reaction,and discovered a chiral control mode based on electrostatic repulsionin amine catalysis and developed various imine precursor reagents forthe Mannich reaction with aldehydes and ketones.  From 2018 to 2022,he worked for Prof. Shaozhong Ge as a postdoc research fellow. Duringthis period, he developed base metal (such as Co, Cu, and Ni)catalyzed asymmetric hydroboration of unsaturated hydrocarbons andachieved cobalt-catalyzed one-pot asymmetric difunctionalization ofalkynes, as well as regioselective hydrosilylation/cylcization of1,6-enynes, and copper-catalyzed enantioselectivehydroaminomethylation of alkenes. In February 2022, he joined thedepartment of  applied chemistry at Hefei University of Technology asa Professor and his research primarily focus on the selectivetransformation of unsaturated hydrocarbons by base metal (Fe, Cu orCo) catalysis and cooperative catalysis (indobenzene and electronicco-catalysis).
